What we learn and do in MATE CIRCLE, by Aya Boutadgharte (1st year Bac)

I think that every student is like me. We can’t just study all the time. We need some activities to enjoy, have fun, express ourselves and learn at the same time. MATE CIRCLE is a perfect place to do so. We benefited a lot of things, in this club we develop our personality, do activities and learn things we cannot do in ordinary classes.
First, we do drama. In this activity we learn how to talk in the front of the audience like a confident person without stress and how to use our body language. Also, we learnt how to make people laugh and enjoy with our funny sketches and how to change our personality and make a character for the plays. Moreover, we learn how to work as a team and we write our scripts.
Second, we learn about public speaking. We learn how to give good presentations. We usually choose some topics which are related to our personality or our society (problem at school/ environment) or some problems or difficulties studnets might have such as tips to prepare for your exams. From these activities we gain skills we need in our life like time management, organization, positive thinking and how to face the audience and speak our ideas.
We also do singing. In this activity we enjoy so much because we like music and songs. In this activity we choose some songs which have a meaning and we sing them in groups and individually.
In ICT, We gained many computer skills such as how to make brochures, posters and videos. We make brochures and posters about different subjects like culture, women, favorite artist …..
MATE CIRCLE is also a place for talented students in drawing. And also sometimes we celebrate some international occasions like the international Women’s Day, Mother’s Day and learn about international celebrations like Christmas and Thanksgiving.
At the end of each period, we organize a show in which we present our products, presentations and drama works, and we share what we have learnt with our parents, teachers and other people.
