Drama 

The series of activities in this CIRCLE aimed at helping students gain drama skills and script writing techniques. Students benefited from  workshops of drama techniques and script elements and writing.Students worked on different ready-made and original scripts. They rehears throught each period before they perform in front of audience in the end of term show.

Public speaking:

The objective of the activity is to help students overcome the stress and fear of delivering in front of the audience, express themselves in a very structured and effective way and develop their presentational skills.

 Students were introduced to characteristics of good oral presentations through watching a video entitled “Good vs Bad Public Speaking”. They were also provided with a rubric sheet to refer to while preparing their speeches and presentation.

Then, they choose topics of their interest and prepare presentations. They practice and present in front of their peers who give them constructive feedback using the rubrics provided before. The best presentations were given in the end of each period show.

 Students also learn some techniques of using power point slides and Pecha Kucha presentation.

English Through Songs

In this activity students listen to different songs, do many language activities related to them and sing them.

Students are encouraged to sing in groups and individually. Also, through this activity, the teacher discovers many students who are talented in singing. These students are given chance to sing in front of the audience in the end of term show.

Drawing and posters

MATE CIRCLE is also a space for students to explore their talents in different handicrafts. They draw and paint and make posters about different issues. The objective is to cater for different learners’ needs. The outcomes are students’ drawing, painting, crafts and posters.
