In 2016, students at Sidi Ahmed Bennacer High School MATE CIRCLE celebrated the 400th anniversary of William Shakespear along with other CIRCLEs. This was a great opportunity for students to get to know who Shakespear was and read some of his works. They have read some of his famous sonnets and wrote some peoms using these as a model. They have read the simplified versions of his famous plays such as Hamlet, Romeo and Julliet and King lear. They have made a short film entitled Shakespear Is Alive and thus He Will Always Be in which the three Protagonists of the three plays meet to convert the message that Shakespear is still alive today thanks to his great works. Students have also made a poster about similar idea that shakespear is watching people around the world acting out his plays .

Freedom
Shall we live as prisoners?
You had a fabulous life,
But it has gone with wind.
You were like a bird,
Flying in the large sky,
But they put you in a cage shouting.
You were like a beautiful red rose in a green garden,
But they cut you and throw you in a desert.
You were breathing the fresh air of freedom,
But they make you smell the dirty slavery.
As long as these lines are read,
Your suffering will always be remembered.
